You Tell Them Girls!
God me so sick :S I’ve been meaning to post something new, but was too busy coughing! Hanan, and Coquette wrote something earlier about how backwards our “educational” system is. It saddens me knowing that our beloved country is fighting so hard to keep its citizens ignorant. Who are you to decide for me? I believe I have the right to choose for myself. Don’t you think?
I can’t believe they are trying to ban art. They are claiming that it is unethical and some how it is considered pornography thinking it will “corrupt” the “magnificent” minds of our youth. And by youth I mean those who hang around shopping malls, Gulf road, and pretty much everywhere saying all kinds of nasty things and acting like complete idiots. Compare those who graduated from English lit or Art History with those bad-mannered ignorant drop-outs. MAKO MOQARANA!
Hmmm does this mean Pamela Anderson and the Girls of the PlayBoy mansion are artists too? I’m sure our teenage boys studied them quite well :)
The problem is that we live in this hypocritical messed up society that probably most people here are so unbelievably stupid to notice what is going on. I mean come on PPL! Have u even set foot in a museum?! How can you judge something and call it porn when you obviously have no clue whatsoever about the beauty of ART. God I can’t believe how ignorant some can be. Are you telling me that an artist like the great Michelangelo who spent and dedicated his time, lying on his back for years with enormous amount of pain and discomfort painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel is a pornographer?
"the whole world came running to see what Michelangelo had done; and certainly it was such as to make everyone speechless with astonishment". Basically, the entire world was amazed by his work, but we (this little tiny dot called Kuwait) are against it! Let us put in mind that we are only known for our OIL and nothing more than that. This tells us that we are culturally and educationally DEAD! Your way of thinking is offensive and I can no longer tolerate your so-called moral beliefs.

girl/world, michelangelo's paintings are STUNNING. i love the second one. his paintings show humanity in its most natural state as he was greatly influnced by neoplatonism. we need a whole blog to talk about these two paintings, mo? :)

hmm. banning art has been going on for the longest time here. and that's a problem in itself that really needs to be addressed. but the bigger problem here is that now art is banned from our education. I mean schools already take music and art classes lightly, mostly looking at them as time fillers that can easily be cancelled if the need arises. so art has been dead in this country for a long time. but when that reaches over to an institution that is supposed to be academic, and to the faculty within this institution that is that of art, then the problem goes beyond causing eyebrows to raise and bloggers to protest. this is getting out of hand really.

I love the retard educational system. They ban little stupid stuff in hope of covering the real big issues youth face. They believe that banning 13-yr olds froms the joy of art is actually doing them good and keeping them on a rightout path, while every other 13-yr old out there is getting or giving a u7m to their partner.
Instead of banning this I believe all youth should be exposed to it in a proper educational manner. Meaning teach kids there is something called sex, show them the right way to do it, tell them the risks involved with it, and then educate them on why it is wrong and how they need to make thier own choices when it comes to such things. Not talking about it all togther will just force them to do it behind closed doors.
As far as the educational system goes, so as long are bad things kept in the dark and behind closed doors everything is oook!!
